After graduating from the New York Institute of Massage in 2007, Dana began her career working closely with physicians at Invision Health at the Brain and Spine Center in Buffalo, NY . Dealing mostly with insurance claims and prescriptions from doctors, Dana had the unique experience of being exposed to a multitude of diagnoses and had the opportunity to observe surgeries in the operating room.
Five years into her career, Dana went to the University at Buffalo to receive a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. The course worked included gross anatomy, biomechanics, neuroscience, neuroanatomy, and many more classes that have proved to be a compliment to her massage career. The combination of exercise science and massage therapy provide a truly therapeutic session.
Patient education is a big part of Dana's philosophy. In order for pain to be eliminated, you must stop the cycle, or alter the biomechanics that causes pain. Having the client work on their own between sessions with stretches and strengthening exercises allows massage to be more effective creating faster, and longer lasting results.
Whether you are an athlete, weekend warrior, or just looking for for some quiet time, Dana can customize a treatment just for you, providing lasting results and helping your body heal itself.
